Rest of the MLB Season

Due to this being my last post for the Nationals part of the website I’m going predict the rest of the season for them and what they will do in the playoffs. The Nationals will end up grabbing the number 1 seed in the National league conference by going  120-50. They will face of with the Arizona Diamondbacks in there first series in the playoffs. They will end up sweeping  this series because the Diamondbacks and kinda trash. They will then move on to face the Chicago Cubs in the next series. The will also beat them but this time losing 2 games in the process. In the National League finals the Nationals will end up facing off against the Colorado Rockies for the title and to move on. This series will end up going to 7 games with the Nationals  winning in the end. They will raise that title and move on to the world series where they will face off against the Houston Astros. The Nationals will end up winning the championship 4 games to 1 with the Astros left in despair. The Nationals  will bring the title back to Washington for the first time ever.

Nat’s Lose the Streak 4/25/17

Yesterday the Washington Nationals faced off with the Colorado Rockies with an 8 game winning streak in there eyes. Unfortunately the Nats lose 8 to 4 with the Rockies coming up with an amazing offensive  performance. The Rockies were only up by 1 going into the eight but had a good offensive inning scoring 3 runs and having a 4 run lead trying to close out the game. The Nationals scoring all there runs in the 6th couldn’t seem to pull out the come back and went down with there winning streak.

The key player for the Rockies was Tony Wolters who went 3 for 4 with 2 runs batted in. The only player to seem to be performing for the Nats was Anthony Rendon who went 3 for 4 with 1 runs batted in as he tried to get the Nats back in it. The Nationals went into this game without Bryce Harper which made it really hard for them to get back in it and make some plays without there captain. The Nationals really need to pick it up going into they’re second game tonight against the Rockies. To win they will need more help on offense and some more defensive plays closing out games.

Nationals Don’t Get the Sweep 4/13/17

The Nationals played they’re final game in the series against the Cardinals last night trying to get the sweep on them. Unfortunately the Nationals fell to them 1 to 7 with only 8 hits and 1 run. Max Scherzer having a pretty good performance getting 10 people to strike out and letting up  3 out of the 6 runs scored. Glover, Blanton, and Solis let up the other 3. Not an impressive performance for the Nationals offence at all with only 1 run and 8 hits. The key player for the Cardinals was Stephen Piscotty going 3 for 5 hitting in 5 runs with 3 run home run in the 9th inning.

However the night before the Nationals had a pretty impressive performance in the 2nd game of the 3 game series winning over the Cardinals 8 to 3. Gio Gonzales letting up 6 hits and 2 runs in his 7 inning performance. The Cardinals looked like they couldn’t stop the Nats til last night with the Nats winning big the last 2 nights. The key player in the 2nd win over the Cardinals was Danial Murphy going 4 for 5 with 5 runs batted in and scoring 2 runs.

Huge Win for the Nats Blog 4/11/17

The Nationals have a huge game last night scoring 14 runs against the Cardinals. Before the 8th inning last night the game was pretty tight until the Nationals unloaded a 7 run inning on the cardinals with only one inning left to play in the field. The key player for the Nats were Bryce Harper and Stephen Drew. Stephen went 3 for 4 with 4 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. Bryce going 4 for 4 with 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored.

Trea Turner was also played on the dl yesterday after straining his right hamstring after attempting to steal in the first inning of Saturdays 17 to 3 loss against the Phillies. Tonight the Nationals and the Cardinals will play again in the second of a 3 game series. The nats will have to face big right handed thrower Lance Lynn tonight at Nationals Park. The Nationals will be pitching Gio Gonzalez.
